«Entre Passos e Saudade» documents the history of the first generation of Portuguese guest workers who worked in Zermatt’s tourism industry, a connection that continues to this day. Through conversations with former seasonal workers, photographs emerge that capture emotional states, life between two countries, and the search for belonging. Together with poet Aida Cardoso and sociologist Dr. Liliane Azevedo, the project makes a part of Valais’s migration history visible and gives space to the people who shaped it.
